The Chubb Institute, Banner Institute and Banner College's
Medical Billing & Coding program prepares students to
maintain patient financial accounts and arrange for the collection
of payment. The program provides training in medical billing
procedures, including completing claim forms and billing insurance
companies.

In order to be reimbursed for services, medical facilities
must document everything done to a patient using correct medical
terminology. Students learn how to assign proper codes to
medical tests, treatments, procedures and other clinical activities.
The program concludes with an externship in a medical office
or hospital, where the student will practice the skills they
learned in the classroom.
