As a Surgical Technologist, you assist in surgical procedures
under the supervision of surgeons. Your college training gives
you the expertise you need to set up operating instruments,
oversee supplies and equipment and prepare patients for surgery,
and more.

During surgery, you pass instruments to surgeons, hold retractors,
cut sutures, and track sponges, needles, supplies and instruments.
You may also operate sterilizers, lights or suction machines,
and help operate diagnostic equipment.

anatomy and physiology of the body

(National Center for Competency Testing) TECH in Surgery-Certified
(TS-C) NCCT Certification Examination. After getting this
certification, you will be qualified to work as a Surgical
Technologist in places like:
