Aspen University grew from the International
Academy created in the 1960s to improve the
way information was disseminated. During the
next two decades the academy distinguished
itself as an exceptional provider of premium
education in information management. In 1982,
the Academy established the Information Institute
to help people adapt to and make full use
of all the emerging information technologies.
The Institute became keenly focused on meeting
the needs of the workforce, sponsoring conferences
and conducting extensive research to broaden
the world's understanding of information-related
topics such as appropriate uses and effective
management of information.
