Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice (AACJ). The Associate
of Arts in Criminal Justice Degree targets the fields related
to law enforcement, probation, parole, security, the judiciary,
and other related jobs. The specialization addresses specific
competencies and workplace behaviors needed to successfully
pursue a career in the criminal justice system. Criminal Justice
follows a line of investigation into the court structure and
management. It also explores laws, the constitution, crime
and criminology, the role of the judiciary, and social and
economic justice. The student will obtain an excellent basis
in communications arts, social sciences, humanities, math,
science, and information technology. The student will learn
how to research, analyze and apply vital information to real-world
challenges and opportunities. In addition, throughout the
program, the student’s learning, communication, team
work, and critical thinking skills will be developed.
The program is designed so that students wishing to continue
their education are prepared to move easily into a bachelor’s
degree program specializing in Criminal Justice such as is

Requirements
