Associate of Arts in General Studies (AAGS). The Associate
of Arts in General Studies Degree is offered to military students
who want to complete a general AA degree before entering into
a professional program. The program provides a foundation
of knowledge and perspective to immediately enrich the student’s
life and career prospects as well as prepare them for additional
higher education.
The student will obtain a solid foundation and overview within
the disciplines of communication arts, humanities, social
sciences, math, and science. The student will also learn how
to analyze and apply vital information to real-world challenges
and opportunities. Throughout the program, the student’s
learning, communication, team work, and critical thinking
skills will be developed. The large block of electives provides
students with some flexibility to explore subjects of interest
to them.
The program is designed so that students wishing to continue
their education are prepared to move easily into most any
bachelor’s degree program such as those offered by Western

Requirements
To enter the Axia College Online program, you must have a
high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years
of age (or have the signature of a parent or guardian). You
must submit a completed and signed Axia College Application
for Admission listing secondary and all post-secondary institutions
attended, and request your official transcripts from all previous
schools attended.
