Master of Business Administration (MBA) - General Business

The traditional model of the MBA has been designed for students who may have less on-the-job experience or life experience than an individual in the concentration programs. The courses in this model are more academically structured and assume less of a "grounding" in the subject than do similar courses in the concentrations.

This concentration combines the best of conventional academic training with the best of field-based learning. The significant difference between this degree option and Baker's other MBA's is that there is no need to declare a concentration. Students electing this "general" approach to the degree simply complete the core MBA courses and then pick and choose from any other courses offered in the graduate school.

Requirements
MBA candidates should be 21 years of age or older.. Baker welcomes diversity among its student population, yet recognizes the special needs presented by international students. Students from countries other than the U.S. and Canada should contact Baker directly at adm-ol@baker.edu.

About Baker College
Over 15,000 students worldwide have found Baker to be their best choice in online education. Baker College Online is an extension of the prestigious Baker College, founded in Michigan in 1911, a fully accredited, private, not-for-profit career college system.

At Baker College Online, you take your entire degree program through your computer, using the Internet to link faculty and students. This process can occur between two computers in the same town or between computers on opposite sides of the earth, at whatever time best fits into your schedule.

All students in Baker's online environment become actively involved in interactive learning groups. Courses are typically six weeks in length and have regularly scheduled beginning and end dates. On the first day of each course the online instructor sends an introductory lecture to begin the study process for the week. To stimulate discussions, the instructor would also typically include discussion questions related to the topic at the end of his/her lecture.

As the week progresses, you work on your readings and assignments, and you participate in classroom discussions using the computer. Your instructors are readily available to receive your questions and to provide feedback, and they keep you informed of your status weekly. You should never be unaware of what is expected of you.

Financial Aid
All students wishing to apply for financial aid with Baker College Online should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application can be completed online at www.FAFSA.ed.gov. Baker College's school code is E00811.
