The best teachers learn the most about teaching from their
students. This online program offers you the opportunity to
incubate, share, and test ideas for your classroom in collaboration
with experienced faculty and other licensed teachers from
throughout the nation. Curriculum is designed to help you
expand your reach in classrooms that are academically, racially,
ethnically and economically diverse. Focus/subject areas in
this specialization include: Elementary classroom teaching,
Secondary classroom teaching, Advanced instruction in mathematics,
Advanced instruction in science, Teacher leadership, and Virtual
school teaching. Throughout the program you will build a portfolio
to demonstrate mastery of key competencies and new skills.
In your final course, you'll complete a specialized teacher's
practicum that bears out your status as an exceptional teacher.
Requirements
Applicants must be a licensed teacher, have a regionally accredited
Bachelor's degree (or its foreign equivalent) and an undergraduate
GPA of at least 2.7 (on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent from
an international institution.
