This state-approved* online MS program leads licensed teachers
toward principal or superintendent licensure in their home
states through preparation that meets nationally recognized
leadership standards, including the Interstate School Leaders
Licensure Consortium (ISLLC). Our program uses a multi-disciplinary
learning model designed to expand your leadership capabilities,
while providing practical strategies to increase student achievement.
This results-oriented program will fully prepare you to translate
theory into effective leadership practice, so you can make
a profound, positive impact as you move forward to school
administration.
Portfolio/practicum
Throughout the program you will build a portfolio to demonstrate
mastery of key competencies and new skills. In your final
course, you'll complete a specialized teacher's practicum
that bears out your status as an exceptional leader.
* The leadership in educational administration specialization
is conditionally approved by the Arizona Department of Education
through November 2004. Capella is in the process of applying

Requirements
Applicants must be a licensed teacher, have a regionally accredited
Bachelor's degree (or its foreign equivalent) and an undergraduate
GPA of at least 2.7 (on a 4.0 scale) or its equivalent from
an international institution.
