Online Education in the School of Leadership and
Professional Advancement
The School of Leadership and Professional Advancement (SLPA)
was honored with Distinguished Credit Program and Noncredit
Program awards and a Creative Use of Technology award from
the Association for Continuing Higher Education.
In recent adult student priorities surveys administered by
Noel Levitz, an outside research firm, SLPA students consecutively
ranked their satisfaction higher than the national average
in every category. Categories include instructional effectiveness
and service excellence.
The School of Leadership & Professional Advancement has
offered online educational opportunities since 1996. Students
have access to learning resources and support services including
the Duquesne University Library, online writing center, tutoring,
and contact with faculty and advisors. No standardized exams
such as SAT, GRE or GMAT are required for admission.
There are no residency requirements for any of these online
programs.

Duquesne University is regionally accredited by the Middle
