| Program: Human Services PhD Program |

I earned my Masters Of Public Administration in 2009 (December). I am
currently in a PhD program Human Services with concentration of Clinical
Social Work. I have experience in Juvenile Justice and Child Protective
Services in 2 different states so that really helped me get into the
program without having to have the MSW.
Textbooks are the students responsibility and if you dont have the money
you can submit for a 500.00 book loan that will come out of you fin.
aid/student loans. Online is not for everyone. You have to be a motivated
person. I work a full time job with overtime and on call duties. If I cant
submit an assignment on time I email or call my professors and they have
always been very understanding so far.
I cant speak on the residency part of this program yet. All the professors
i have had so far are very knowledgeable. If you need to listen to a
professor in a class room and attend a class then its not for you. If i
have questions i just email classmates or my professors who always have the
answer. as a full time father, husband, and working a demanding job this is
a perfect fit for me. Do not think your journey will be easy. You will have
a lot of work to earn your degree.
It is my fault if I dont complete assignments, read the syllabus, or dont
ask questions when i dont understand. In my past Master of Public
Administration Program at Walden I had about 2 professors that were
difficult but they were not that bad. Out of a scale from 1 to 5 rating i
would give Walden a 4.5 so far.
